Let's suppose you are an employer and you would like to know what your employees are doing on their computers. A lot of them may be wasting their time when no one is looking. In the same manner, if you are a parent, you may want to monitor your child's desktop, to know if he accesses any pornographic or malicious websites. Kids can get discouraged if they know they are being monitored. There is a software that can take care of all these problems. I am talking about Multi-Screen Remote Desktop. You can guess what the program is about by viewing its name. It's actually a remote desktop utility that allows you to connect to multiple desktops at once and perform various actions to those computers, like controlling the mouse and keyboard, blocking certain websites, shutting them down and so on.

It's a Windows application that has two parts, a server and a client. The server module should be installed on all the computers that need to be monitored, while the client should only be installed on a single computer. The server doesn't need any configuring. It's an "install and forget" application that can run from the system tray after it is installed.

The same goes for the client application, as it doesn't need to be configured either. The IP address of a server can be manually entered or it can be detected automatically. Thus, one won't waste time trying to figure out the IP of all the computers he wants to connect to. Once connected to a server computer, one will see its desktop in real time. He can then choose to control that computer as if he was standing in front of it. Thus, he can take over the mouse and keyboard, launch applications, have access to all its files and even shut down or restart that computer.

This feature will greatly save time, as in case of a large network, computers can be remotely turned off using a single click. The software can display nine desktops at once, in real time.

Pros

It allows connecting to any computer's desktop and performing certain actions, as if the user was standing in front of it. Besides that, it allows controlling up to nine computers at the same time. Furthermore, server computers can be automatically found or can have their IP address manually typed.

Cons

The demo version allows connecting to a single computer and doesn't allow controlling it. Multi-Screen Remote Desktop is a remote tool that allows the user to connect to 9 computers at the same time.
